Patient Care Specialist
Location: Clive, Iowa (On-site)
Practice: Integrated Psychiatry, PLLC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Weekdays, daytime hours with occasional flexibility for treatment blocks
About the Role
Integrated Psychiatry is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to support direct and indirect patient care in an outpatient psychiatric setting. This full-time position involves hands-on treatment support, including Spravato® observation and monitoring, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) administration, and essential clinical operations such as documentation and treatment prior authorizations.
Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care
• Prepare and room patients, obtaining vitals, medication histories, and relevant updates.
• Support Spravato® (esketamine) treatment days, including room prep, observation, monitoring, safety checks, and coordination of post-treatment discharge.
• Perform TMS setup and administration under provider orders: device setup, parameter verification, session monitoring, and documentation of responses and adverse events.
• Assist with point-of-care testing, ECG or lab coordination, and medication administration within scope and training.
Indirect Patient Care & Operations
• Complete timely and accurate chart documentation in the EHR, including treatment notes and flowsheets.
• Coordinate prior authorizations for psychiatric medications and treatments including Spravato® and TMS.
• Manage patient communications, scheduling support, refill requests, and post-treatment follow-ups.
• Maintain treatment rooms and equipment logs; support safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Dipolma, GED
• Two or more years of related experience in customer service or patient-facing role.
Additional Qualifications
• Active CMA certification.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• A minimum of 1 year of ambulatory care experience preferred. Behavioral health, neurology, or procedure-based clinic experience is a plus.
• Spravato® or TMS experience is preferred but training will be provided.
• Proficiency in EHR documentation and insurance portals for prior authorizations.

• Ability to walk, stand, stoop and bend as required during duties.

Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour, with potential differentials for experience. Bonus compensation for performance based productivity

Compliance & Safety
• Participation in Spravato® REMS and TMS competency training required. Provided onsite.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow OSHA/infection-control standards.
