About Us:Top Chef Meals is a leading food manufacturing company delivering high-quality products across various channels. We operate under USDA-FSIS oversight and maintain rigorous food safety and quality standards.


Role Overview:We are seeking a Purchasing and Strategic Planning Manager who will be integral to both our procurement operations and production scheduling. This role involves procurement of over1,000 different SKU's, managing relationships with multiple vendors, optimizing purchasing processes, and planning production schedules based on the availability of goods. They will also oversee the receiving department and porter responsible for internal product movement.


Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain strong relationships with approximately 20 vendors, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of ingredients.Consolidate ingredient needs across various production runs to optimize purchasing and achieve cost efficiencies.Evaluate and compare products from different vendors to ensure consistency in quality and communicate specific requirements to suppliers.Play a strategic role in planning production schedules based on the availability of goods and lead times.Oversee the receiving department and ensure the team adheres to HACCP and SQF standards, including checking expiration dates, temperatures, cleanliness, proper storage, and the overall quality of incoming items.Utilize and manage an ERP or similar technology systems for entering purchase orders, tracking receiving, and managing inventory movements. Train and develop staff to utilize the technology effectively.


Qualifications:Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.Familiarity with ERP systems or similar technology and the ability to manage digital purchasing and inventory tools.Strong organizational and strategic planning skills to align purchasing schedules with production needs.Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, internal teams, and staff managing receiving and internal logistics.Strong analytical skills to compare vendor offerings and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Position Type: Salaried, currently in office with the opportunity to transition to hybrid once establishedCompensation: $80,000 to $100,000 annually, benefits.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
