Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in early childhood education by supporting a PreK student as a 1:1 paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician. This onsite contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with young learners and collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll play an essential role providing individualized attention, helping foster growth, and ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) license OR hands-on experience as a 1:1 paraprofessional with PreK students
- Passion for nurturing the social, emotional, and educational development of young children
- Comfortable working onsite in a classroom setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with children, families, and educational staff
- Ability to follow individualized behavioral or learning plans with care and consistency
- Positive, proactive approach to challenges and adaptability to various classroom situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a PreK student, monitoring progress and assisting with daily routines and classroom tasks
- Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by educational or clinical staff
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment tailored to the child’s needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to reinforce academic and behavioral goals
- Maintain open communication with team members regarding student progress and challenges
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all regulations and school policies
