Assignment Type: Contract | 4–6 Months

Pay: $23 – $26 / Hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description:

A nonprofit trade association in Washington, DC is looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to provide day-to-day support across HR functions. The ideal candidate brings prior HR experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can hit the ground running with minimal oversight.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and external parties, delivering prompt and accurate responses
  • Support talent acquisition efforts by identifying and engaging candidates across multiple sourcing channels
  • Keep personnel files current and ensure all documentation meets applicable compliance standards
  • Partner with people managers to facilitate performance review cycles and ongoing employee development conversations

Qualifications:

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in a human resources capacity
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Experience utilizing Workday and ADP Workforce now highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks with limited supervision
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

Additional Details:

This is a contract role expected to last 4–6 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs. Candidates should be local to the DC area and available to work on a hybrid schedule.
