An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support hospital operations in San Luis Obispo, CA. This contract role is ideal for a travel pharmacist ready to start immediately and committed to a minimum 13-week assignment. The position offers two distinct schedules to accommodate different preferences:
- Pharmacist 1: Day shifts, 4 ten-hour days per week (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
- Pharmacist 2: Night shifts, 7 days on followed by 7 days off (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Key responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role also involves pharmacokinetic monitoring and the use of hospital technologies such as Cerner and Omnicell.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year of current inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration
