Industrial Electrician | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Walker seeking Industrial Electricians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical malfunctions in manufacturing machinery and control systems.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical wiring, conduits, and components in production facilities.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety codes, regulations, and company safety protocols.
  • Perform calibration and testing of electrical instrumentation and controls.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and installations accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician license or relevant trade certification.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems and machinery.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other industrial control systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E) and safety protocols.
  • Experience with various voltage systems (e.g., 480V, 277V, 120V) and three-phase power.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency in PLC programming and ladder logic development (e.g., Allen-Bradley Logix platforms).
  • Experience with industrial robotics troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Background in instrumentation and control systems, including calibration and loop tuning.
  • Demonstrated experience with VFD commissioning, programming, and optimization.
