Desired Qualifications:
- Active GaPSC Special Education Certification covering SPED content through 8th grade
- Adapted Curriculum Endorsement required (candidates with pending credentials considered)
- Experience or strong interest in working with self-contained classrooms
- Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in a lower functioning, self-contained, functional curriculum classroom
- Create and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate closely with two paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician
- Participate in pre- and post-planning as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP development
