Job Description

Job Description

**Kentwood manager notes (which were not removed during Wood Plant review):

I will consider someone with no degree and multiple years of experience. I would want someone with 5 years of experience or more without a degree. I’d like the experience to be in a troubleshooting role in a manufacturing environment.

I have no preference in total amount of experience. As long as they have some and can show the ability to troubleshoot problems.**

**Wood manager notes regarding previously submitted/rejected/reviewed candidates:

When I read the notes provided by wood plant, it looks to me like they are seeking candidates for primarily floor support/troubleshooting. It’s possible they would reject someone because the floor support is not a good fit, but their skillset could be valuable in other parts of the business... If wood plant declines someone but their skillsets favor the details that I highlighted, I would be open to reviewing the resume. If wood plant declines and their skills don’t fit for Business Transformation (BT), then I would rather not review.

Here’s the list of skills I am looking for from a BT perspective.

  • Embrace change to do it the right way, not the way it's always been done.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and system thinker.
  • Experience with PTC Windchill PLM systems and SAP.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and bills of material.
  • Ability to translate technical issues into user-friendly language and vice versa.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
