Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed for a short-term, full-time leave assignment at an elementary school setting in Davis, California. This role supports a first-grade student requiring specialized nursing care and assistance, ensuring the student's health and academic needs are met in a school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care including suctioning for a tracheostomy and monitoring for seizures
- Manage gastrostomy tube (G-Tube) feeding and related care
- Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and daily school activities
- Maintain timely attendance and reliability, understanding the critical nature of the role for the students school participation
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure safe and effective care throughout the school day
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Experience with tracheostomy care and suctioning techniques
- Skilled in seizure monitoring and emergency response
- Proficient in G-Tube feeding and management
- Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
Location & Schedule:
- Dry Creek Elementary, Sacramento, CA (near Davis)
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 1:55 p.m.
- Assignment dates: March 2 to March 6, 2026
- Caseload: 1:1 with one female first-grade student
