Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an impactful role serving students in the vibrant Virginia Beach area as a School Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, contract opportunity begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 11, 2027, offering a rewarding position focused on helping young learners achieve communication and academic success.
Your workweek will be 37.5 hours, with school assignments to be determined upon placement. You’ll deliver essential speech and language services to a diverse caseload—typically around 50 students, though this can fluctuate depending on the district’s needs. Please note, all services will be delivered on-site, as virtual or hybrid arrangements are not permitted.
Preferred background and requirements:
- Active Virginia SLP license
- Experience providing speech and language therapy in educational settings preferred
- Open to both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs)– however, please apply through the appropriate channel if you are a CF
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to varying caseload sizes and work with a range of student age groups
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Support diverse student needs across multiple campuses, with assignment locations determined by the district
