Job DescriptionSalary: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 / Year DOE

Summary:

The Home Health Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical management of the home health agency. This role ensures safe and effective delivery of care in compliance with CHAP standards, federal and state regulations, and agency policies. The Administrator leads a team of licensed clinicians, manages the agencys Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, and ensures continuous staff development and regulatory compliance.

The Administrator works collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer to meet agency goals and ensure excellence in service delivery.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates all operational activities to ensure delivery of safe, high-quality home health services.
  • Ensures full compliance with all applicable federal, state, CHAP accreditation, and local regulations.
  • Maintains the agencys CHAP accreditation status, including preparation for site visits, documentation readiness, and recertification processes.
  • Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI)
  • Oversees Infection Prevention and Control activities and ensures staff compliance with related protocols.
  • Employs, orients, and evaluates personnel to ensure staffing levels and qualifications meet patient care needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Employs qualified personnel and ensures adequate staff education and evaluations.
  • Analyzes data and trends to assess agency performance and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Ensures appropriate use and maintenance of equipment; minimizes equipment abuse through staff education and oversight.
  • Coordinates agency activities with other internal departments and community partners.
  • Partners with COO and CFO to develop and manage the operational budget in alignment with agency goals and payer requirements.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to recruit and retain qualified clinical and administrative personnel.
  • Oversee initial and ongoing education, training, and competency assessments for all staff.
  • Ensures adequate clinical staffing to deliver patient care as directed by Plans of Care (POC) and according to agency protocols.
  • Maintains current knowledge of evolving healthcare laws, policies, and best practices; disseminates relevant updates to the team.
  • Develops, updates, and enforces clinical policies and procedures to support evidence-based practice.
  • Responds to patient inquiries and complaints; investigates and resolves concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Promotes open, two-way communication among staff and fair, consistent administration of personnel policies.
  • Participates in and facilitates regular staff meetings, training, and interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, provides feedback, and initiates corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintains current knowledge and documentation of OASIS, Start of Care (SOC), Resumption of Care (ROC), and discharge processes.

Qualifications:

  • BSN Required.
  • Experienced in health services administration and at least three (3) years of administrative experience in home health care or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in clinical operations, scheduling, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of QAPI, infection control, and CHAP accreditation
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
