Pump Rig Operator with CDL
Summary
This is a field-based position. We are recruiting across Texas and SW Louisiana and you can be located anywhere in this region. The work schedule is usually 3 weeks onsite, and 1 week off (21/7).

Responsible for troubleshooting, installing and maintaining line shaft and submersible turbine pumps in Water Wells around TX, LA, OK, NM. You will also manage well rehabilitation. Water wells typically support agricultural, industrial, municipal and mining environments. You will drive and manage the equipment on a Pump Rig truck (specialized heavy-haul trailer), also known as a Float.
Responsibilities
- Drive Pump Rig and related equipment to Water drilling sites.
- Operate various heavy machinery and electrical equipment on drilling / pumping sites.
- Install and remove line shaft and submersible turbine water well pumps.
- Demonstrate ability to perform pump work in safe and efficient manner.
- Trouble shoot well and pump problems.
- Maintain detailed records-daily work, vehicle and safety reports.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor, crew and customer.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2 or more years related experience
- Valid and active CDL license
- Specific experience with heavy haul, oilfield hauling, or oversized loads.
- Proficiency in load securement and chaining
- Experience with oversized permits and regulations
- Ability to drive off-road and in all weather conditions.
- Heavy equipment operation, such as Skid Steers, Dozers, Front Loaders, etc.
- Welding, electrical and construction knowledge and experience are helpful
- A Plus is experience in downhole drilling, for oil, natural gas, water, or in boring
- Another Plus is electrical skills, wire line experience and using logging tools.
- A Strong Plus is experience programing PLCs, VFDs and PID systems.
- Must have good driving record
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Benefits:
- Starting pay range is from $20 to $28 / hour
