Job Description*** Must Interview IN PERSON - No Relocation Assistance ***General Duties:
• Oversee daily restaurant operations: dining room service, kitchen, host stand etc
• Lead, train, and supervise team members to deliver consistently high-quality service • Coordinate with staff to ensure seamless service flow
• Uphold company policies, procedures and service standards
Essential Duties:
• Supervise service during operating hours ensuring guest satisfaction
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules based on business needs
• Train and mentor staff on service techniques, menu knowledge and hospitality standards • Handle guest complaints and escalations with professionalism and urgency
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations
• Track and report key performance metrics (labor, sales, guest satisfaction)
• Assist with staff hiring, onboarding and performance evaluations
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• English and Japanese speaking preferred
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, service flow and hospitality standards
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a high-volume environment
• Cultural awareness and ability to deliver service aligned with the spirit of aloha• Perform in fast-paced / high-energy restaurant environment
Working Hours/Conditions:
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Work extended hours during peak business periods
Physical Demands:
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours)
• Lift and carry up to 25–40 pounds (e.g., supplies, trays)
• Frequent bending, reaching and movement throughout the dining area
Requirements:
• Minimum 2–3 years of restaurant (Japanese) or supervisory experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required (hospitality or business degree preferred)
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to lead diverse teams and foster a positive work culture
• Availability to work flexible hours (weekends and holidays)
Schedule: Must be able to work flexible AM/PM shifts (including weekends, holidays and overtime if needed)Job Location: Kailua KonaStarting Pay Rate: $30 - $35 per hour (based on experience) ** WEEKLY PAY ** Health Insurance available **
