We're hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a Food processing facility in Philadelphia, PA

What We Offer:

  • Pay: $27-37.90 /hr (based on experience)

Shift Details:

  • 1st shift 5am-5:30pm rotating 2-2-3
  • 3rd shift 5pm-5:30am rotating 2-2-3
  • Must be comfortable with rotating weekend coverage

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing machines and providing support regarding the usage of machines and electrical components. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and ensure the smooth operation of high-speed packaging equipment and other mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and perform repairs on high-speed packaging equipment, mechanical components such as valves and piping, and electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, AC and DC motors, variable frequency drives, sensors, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Respond to and correct breakdowns promptly and communicate effectively with operators to assist in diagnosis and prevent future issues.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual maintenance work including regular preventive maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment.
  • Develop knowledge and familiarity with mechanical and electrical drawings for equipment and plant infrastructure.
  • Assist in set-ups, changeovers, and start-up adjustments of equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
  • Work with minimal to no guidance and be self-sufficient.
  • Work shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties as directed by management personnel.

Skills

  • Proficient with basic hand/power tools, measuring devices, and electrical testing.
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and diagnosis.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and technical school is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology and/or three or more years’ experience in a hands-on technical role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, and industrial refrigeration is preferred.
  • Basic fabrication skills such as welding, cutting, grinding, and machine work is a plus.
  • Experience in HVAC, welding, electronics, electrical repairs, and industrial equipment installations is a plus.
  • Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with CMMS systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57720.00 - $82860.00/yr.

all employees are eligible for a 401k match of 100% on up to 5% of eligible pay.
