Location: Far Rockaway, NY
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Week
Shift: Day Shift
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $24/hour (Local Candidates Only)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a skilled nursing facility on the day shift. The CNA will provide direct resident care and assist with daily living activities while supporting the nursing team in delivering quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Support feeding, hydration, and meal assistance
- Help residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and repositioning
- Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Follow infection control and patient safety procedures
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents at all times
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Active New York CNA License required
- Active BLS Certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
