American Flexible Products maintains ITAR-compliant operations. OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a hands‑on, people‑focused Production Supervisor to lead our production and materials teams in a dynamic contract manufacturing environment. In this key leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, drive efficient use of labor and materials, and ensure 100% on‑time production and delivery. You’ll motivate and develop team members, troubleshoot issues, support continuous improvement, and foster a culture grounded in safety, communication, and accountability. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined, highly organized leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can pivot quickly when priorities change, and enjoys working collaboratively across departments to keep production running smoothly. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Directly supervise and oversee production and materials departments and team members within.
- Execute daily production schedules and plans for operations to assure 100% on time production and distribution
- Engage the team to meet Company goals and instill a team approach to meet those goals
- Supervise the manufacturing and materials departments to ensure the efficient utilization of company material and labor resources. Evaluate and implement productivity improvements.
- Take part in development and implementation of company policies and programs covering worker safety and security
- Troubleshoot and correct problems
- Communicate with other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting of defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers and daily shift information
- Comply with and hold others accountable to all safety rules
- Be able perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in production supervision or manufacturing management within a manufacturing company
GENERAL SKILLS:
- Strong people skills as a team leader, coach, and team player
- Highly organized – ability to have multiple projects and/or people working under their direction and being able to recognize when assistance is needed
- Have a positive attitude when needing to regroup/change direction at a moment’s notice
- Always maintain a professional demeanor
- Ability to interact positively with anybody at any time and in any situation
- Proven ability to be a great motivator
- Great communication, math, computer, and people skills
- Ability to apply their knowledge/experience but also be willing and open to learn.

- Mechanically inclined and production oriented.
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Attention to detail is a must
- Team player who is self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
- Good hand/eye coordination. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency with a computer is a must. Microsoft office suite is required. Epicor and Paperless Parts experience preferred or any ERP system experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to communicate (read, write, and speak) fluently in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

The work area is a production environment which includes exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery and is a temperature-controlled environment. The noise level in the work area is usually moderate.
This position will be a daytime roll and may cross over with our second shift team as well. Days 7-3:30 M-F and 2nd Shift is 3:30 to 2am M-Th
