Job DescriptionTalent Acquisition Specialist (Contract)
Location: Florham Park, NJ
Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday onsite)
Pay Rate: Up to $40/hour
We are seeking a contract Talent Acquisition Specialist to support a high-volume recruiting function. This is an immediate need due to team bandwidth, offering the opportunity to step in, make an impact quickly, and potentially transition into a permanent role.
This position will play a key role in managing full-cycle recruiting while also supporting broader HR initiatives. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and ideal for someone who can operate independently and hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition (80%)
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition through onboarding
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand needs and drive hiring strategy
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and networking
- Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates across a variety of roles
- Build and manage relationships with external vendors, job boards, and agencies
- Ensure a strong candidate and hiring manager experience through consistent communication
- Track and maintain accurate candidate data within ATS systems
- Stay current on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and recruiting best practices
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on interviewing and selection processes
- Support workforce planning and hiring strategy initiatives
HR Support (20%)
- Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Support employee engagement and HR initiatives
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Maintain accurate employee documentation and records
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (corporate or agency)
- Experience supporting HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, or compliance
- Strong understanding of employment laws and hiring practices
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with vendors and external recruiting partners
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally
Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
