Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Records Clerk to join our team in Midland, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining physical and electronic records in compliance with established procedures. Responsibilities:
• Organize, classify, and code documents to ensure efficient filing and retrieval.
• Create new files and maintain them according to the established classification plan.
• Gather, compile, and provide requested information to internal teams or stakeholders.
• Implement and monitor an accurate charge-out system to track file usage.
• Maintain circulation records to ensure proper tracking of information assets.
• Process inactive records for storage and handle their transfer in line with schedules.
• Manage the destruction of obsolete files in accordance with retention policies and procedures.
• Operate office equipment such as reprographics machines and document scanners efficiently.
• Assist with the organization and lifting of storage boxes, ensuring proper handling.• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional coursework in administrative management or IT is preferred.
• Prior experience working in an active information management environment is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat and handling both paper and electronic records.
• Familiarity with department records, computer files, and digital file systems.
• Ability to operate office equipment such as calculators, reprographics machines, and reader/printers.
• Must be able to lift storage boxes weighing between 35 to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Experience with file sorting, compilation, and data management processes is highly valued.
