RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:

1. Unload incoming freight. Verify shipment is ours by checking packing slip with purchase order and making sure quantity and items match items ordered.

2. Notify Receiving Coordinator, Materials Shift Coordinator or Receiving Supervisor of any damage or discrepancies. Note damage/discrepancies on bill of lading and Bell’s receiving paperwork with signature. Pictures are to be taken of any damage for freight claim. Purchasing or direct supervisor are the only ones able to refuse shipment.

3. Review Register Arrivals report in IFS to list incoming material and start receipt process.

4. Receive items using IFS. Verify bulk materials will fit in storage silo prior to starting the unloading process. Assign handling unit #’s to newly received product. Create and apply handling unit tags to received product.

5. Properly store material in storage locations. Record movement of material by utilizing a scan gun.

6. Pull materials for production based on Prod Stage Replenishment report and material handler/production requests. Stage materials in PRODSTG location.

7. Use IFS to research inventory parts, quantities, and historical transactions as needed. Utilize reports such as Inventory Parts in Stock, Handling Units in Stock, and Inventory Transaction History to facilitate product research.

8. Notify Material Handler II when requested materials cannot be supported due to inventory levels. Verify any open purchase orders and provide the date when additional inventory is expected to be delivered.

9. Manage PRDRET location. Verify product being returned by using IFS to determine appropriate handling unit number. Count and prepare material for return to inventory. Adjust inventory levels in IFS, print new handling unit tags, re-label product with new inventory tags, and move product to inventoried location.

10. Pull/process sample requests. Utilize SMPLE location as necessary.

11. Execute transport tasks to facilitate the movement of technical materials from Tech. Mfg. to the concentrate storage room in production.

12. Utilize IFS virtual locations to manage inventory levels in off-site facilities (such as Stearns or Middleton FC).

13. Perform month end inventory checks or end of year physical inventories as assigned.

14. Execute the perpetual inventory control program. Conduct cycle counts/location checks as assigned. Document any inventory discrepancies and report them to leadership.

15. Continually gain thorough knowledge of all Bell products, their related packaging, marking requirements and proper packaging procedures.

16. Maintain a monthly receiving and material movement accuracy rating of 99% or greater.

17. Perform additional tasks assigned by the Materials Shift Coordinator, Receiving Coordinator or Receiving Supervisor.

18. Maintain a neat, orderly and clean department and work environment.

19. Be familiar with and follow safety rules and procedures including safety wear and emergency procedures. Report to leadership any unsafe activities.

20. Assist with the training of new personnel.

21. Perform overtime and other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in a manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The ability to multi-task is very important. Attention to detail and accuracy, along with basic math skills and good organizational skills are required. Good verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to work under minimum supervision. Must have a good driving record (a Motor Vehicle Record, MVR, search will be conducted).

EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Forklift, pallet-jacks (manual and electric), pick up and straight truck, loading dock lifts, bailer, cardboard and trash compactors, and scales.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently/100 pounds occasionally is required.
