Director of Mechanical Engineering - Mechanical Servicing Company - Base Salary to 165k/year - Plymouth, MN

• Our client is a fast-growing mechanical servicing company for the Greater Minneapolis area. They work with customers to design, build, maintain, and service commercial and industrial HVAC and plumbing systems. • They have an immediate opening for a Director of Mechanical Engineering who will be working with the designers, sales team, estimators, and project managers to provide accurate designs and ensure technical feasibility while adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead system design for HVAC and plumbing for commercial and industrial clients
  
• Create system concepts, oversee load calculations, and equipment selections
  
• Oversee engineering design and drawing review for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  
• Make sure drawings and designs are compliant
  
• Work with architects, project managers, contractors, drafters, and owners
  
• Support engineering efforts to optimize cost, efficiency, and client satisfaction by reviewing designs, specifications, and identifying value engineering opportunities.
  
• Leads, mentors and develops employees across team.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience with designing HVAC systems
  
• Great understanding of the HVAC and Plumbing business and trades.
  
• Professional Engineering License
  
• Extensive knowledge of estimating, and design-build processes in commercial mechanical systems.
  
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, including estimating, design, engineering, and project management.
  
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, blueprints, and bid specifications.
  
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Compensation:

• Our client is offering a solid compensation packing for this position, with a base salary in the 110k - 165k/year range with a strong bonus structure. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, car reimbursement, 401k, PTO, and much more.
