We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop a high-performing quality organization within a precision manufacturing environment supporting aerospace customers.
This role oversees the Quality Management System, leads audit activity (AS9100, ISO, NADCAP), and manages a team of quality engineers and inspectors while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, organize, and develop a Quality team of approximately 6 direct reports (quality engineers and inspectors)

Own and maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP requirements

Lead and support internal, customer, registrar, and regulatory audits

Develop and execute quality strategies supporting DFM, NPI, and continuous improvement

Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, including SCARs, source inspections, and audits

Direct and support FAIRs, PPAPs, statistical studies, and root cause / corrective actions

Ensure inspection, sampling, and testing activities are properly scheduled and executed

Maintain and control all QMS documentation, procedures, and work instructions

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Leadership to remove barriers impacting quality and delivery

Hire, train, coach, and evaluate quality personnel in alignment with company policies and goals
Required Qualifications

10+ years of quality experience in machined or precision components
-
5+ years in a quality leadership role with direct reports

Strong GD&T and drawing interpretation skills

Hands-on experience with AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP audits

Experience supporting prime aerospace customers

Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to drive accountability while building consensus and continuous improvement
