Job Description

Role : IT Asset Manager

Location : San Jose, CA (Onsite)

Type: Contract

JD :

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware,
  • software
  • Oversee the entire asset lifecycle—from procurement to retirement, ensuring that
  • all processes meet organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate with various teams such as IT, engineering, procurement, and finance
  • teams to track asset movements, assignments, and disposals, maintaining
  • accuracy throughout.
  • Develop and implement asset tracking, auditing, and reporting processes that
  • integrations, automations to a no touch process.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on asset inventory, utilization, and compliance
  • for service owner, project requests and management review.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to asset data integrity with associated
  • systems in IT infrastructure, guaranteeing compliance with internal and external
  • standards.
  • Maintain application & infrastructure required for asset management.
  • Establish best practices in IT asset management.
  • Required Skills
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing IT assets in a medium to large
  • organization, with a proven track record of meeting compliance requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of OpenText or similar enterprise asset tracking tools.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage,
  • networking, and end-user devices.
  • Proven Integration knowledge & experience combining business applications and
  • infrastructure services
  • Strong knowledge in understanding business needs and delivering reporting
  • requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of web applications, their deployment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention
  • to detail and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate eAectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with defining & building a process; process automation and workflow
  • opimization within asset management systems.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and audit requirements related to IT assets,
  • such as SOX, GDPR, or ISO certifications.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certification in IT Asset Management e.g. CITAM or compliance is advantageous.
