The Clinical Informatics Analyst is responsible for optimizing healthcare information systems to enhance electronic health records (EHR) and streamline patient care processes. Working closely with clinical providers, this role designs and implements clinical content and workflows to ensure the delivery of real-time knowledge to end-users, especially in the Meditech Magic environment. Through data analysis and collaboration, the Clinical Informatics Analyst supports clinical decision-making, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of patient care and operational efficiency. This position reports to the department’s Director of Technology and Supervisor and works in coordination with other Clinical Analysts to identify and mitigate areas of risk. The Clinical Informatics Analyst is expected to follow any directives given by the Director of Technology and Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Optimization: Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop, implement, and optimize EHR systems and related technologies.
  • Clinical Content Design: Format, design, and integrate clinical content into workflows to support knowledge sharing at the point of care.
  • Project Management: Manage projects focused on patient care process design and conduct reviews to maximize benefits across the organization.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze clinical data to support decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Training & Support: Train and support clinical staff on new technology implementations to promote seamless integration and user adoption.
  • Risk Management: Coordinate with Clinical Analysts to identify and address potential risks in clinical workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Health Informatics, Clinical Informatics, or a related clinical discipline.
  • Clinical experience in settings such as hospitals, emergency departments, physician offices, or skilled nursing facilities.
  • Nursing experience is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to set goals and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness and ability to follow directives from the Director of Technology and Supervisor.
