We’re looking for: We have an opportunity for a detail-oriented, highly organized, multitasking Payroll Administrator who is driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment! In this role, you’ll be a critical part of ensuring our associates feel valued and supported by delivering timely, accurate pay and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and confidentiality. A positive attitude and a genuine desire to be an Associate Ambassador are essential to this position!
This is a full-time hourly-paid position from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
- Process time sheets and multiple payrolls throughout the month;
- Pay state and federal taxes, complying with federal, state, and local regulations;
- Process and handle unemployment claims, garnishments, and other personnel-related transactions;
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries;
- Process W2s and other end-of-the-year paperwork;
- Reconcile payroll-related accounting schedules and perform journal entries, etc.;
- Understands and utilizes dealership computer system(s);
- Assist others in HR as needed when not busy with payroll;
- Assist with different audits, reporting, etc. throughout the year;
- Attend department and dealerships meetings, as necessary;
- Exude strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, & Values in all interactions with customers & co-workers, inside and outside of the office;
- Maintain a clean, pressed, approachable appearance and demeanor, and a neat work area;
- Maintain strict honesty, integrity, and confidentiality while performing all job duties, inside and outside the office;
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have working knowledge of basic accounting practices, principles, and processes
- Must have 6+ months of customer service- and payroll-related experience and/or training
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license (you must be insurable)
- Must maintain a clean, acceptable, and safe driving record
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements, which include a social media check, a drug screen & physical, a background check, and a Motor Vehicle Report
- Be able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
