OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide crucial support to a UniServ Consultant and the local associations they serve. This is a temporary position with the potential to transition into a temp-to-hire role. The successful candidate will be adept at managing a variety of administrative tasks, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the vital work of supporting educators and strengthening our public education system.
Responsibilities
- Provide complex administrative support to an assigned UniServ Consultant
- Conduct membership data analysis and maintain accurate updates to relevant systems
- Assist with bargaining support activities, including document preparation and information gathering
- Support political action initiatives through administrative tasks and coordination
- Provide direct assistance to local association leaders and members, addressing inquiries and providing resources
- Coordinate and support the planning and execution of meetings, events, and workshops
- Other tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- 2-4 years of experience in a complex administrative support role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
- Proficiency in data entry, analysis, and report generation
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - especially Excel, is essential
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve effectively
- A proactive and adaptable approach to tasks and responsibilities
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM)
Compensation: $25.00 Hourly
