Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An established infusion pharmacy in the Nashville area is seeking a skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract with potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance. This position involves hands-on work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, contributing to the preparation and dispensing of IV medications and long-term care prescriptions.
Location: Antioch, TN
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous (IV) medications under direct pharmacist supervision
- Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and secure reimbursement payments
- Assist in prepackaging medications following regulatory standards
- Support Pharmacists during the final review and packaging of filled prescriptions
- Participate in accurate and timely delivery coordination to customers
- Maintain inventory accuracy by receiving shipments, rotating stock, and updating lot and expiration information
- Help ensure a clean, safe work environment and assist with equipment calibration and safety checks
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior IV preparation experience is essential
- National pharmacy technician certification preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy technician roles is a strong plus
