We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a very busy accounting team in Spokane Valley, Washington. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering the opportunity to play a key role in managing and supporting this manufacturing organization's daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be eager to contribute to financial reporting, reconciliations, and cross-functional projects. You will be directly supporting the controller with daily and monthly accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Support order processing activities and provide accounting-related assistance to the sales team.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reporting activities.
• Contribute to month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Participate in inventory accounting and reconciliation to support accurate reporting.
• Collaborate on maintaining the general ledger and performing higher-level accounting tasks as needed.
• Utilize Acumatica for accounting and reporting functions to streamline operations.
• Partner with sales, operations, and leadership teams to improve business processes.
• Provide accounting support for Amazon-related sales operations and other special projects.
• Proven experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools.
• Ability to work effectively with cloud-based ERP systems such as Acumatica.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
• Strong collaboration skills to work across various departments and teams.
• Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation is a plus.
