Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time contract teaching position is for a Special Education teacher specializing in Math at the high school level. The role requires working onsite in York, PA for the full school year (NSY).
To qualify, candidates must hold an active Pennsylvania Math teaching certification and Special Education licensure. Current DOE PA clearances are also required. Experience teaching high school students with special needs in math-related subjects is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for high school students with special education needs
- Deliver math instruction tailored to diverse learning abilities
- Monitor student progress and adjust lessons accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certification in Math
- Valid PA Special Education licensure
- Completed and current Department of Education Pennsylvania clearances
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience in special education and math instruction at the high school level
