Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to join our growing mortgage team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the loan process, from initial consultation to closing. You’ll play a critical part in helping clients achieve their homeownership goals while driving the company’s growth through exceptional service and strong relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with prospective borrowers through inbound and outbound communication
- Evaluate client needs and financial profiles to determine suitable mortgage options
- Guide clients through the loan application, pre-approval, and closing process
- Maintain consistent follow-up and clear communication with clients, real estate agents, and internal team members
- Meet or exceed monthly production goals and customer satisfaction metrics
- Ensure compliance with federal and state lending regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
- Stay informed on current mortgage products, rates, and market trends
Requirements:
- Active NMLS license (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous experience in mortgage origination, lending, or financial services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build trust and rapport with clients
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-up skills
- Proficient in using CRM or loan origination systems (LOS)
- Reliable internet and phone connection if working remotely
Preferred Qualifications:
- Established referral network of real estate agents or past clients
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or others) is a plus
- Experience with Encompass, Velocify, or other mortgage software
