Join our team as an Operator, where you will work alongside the foreman to ensure all parts meet quality standards. You will be responsible for inspecting parts using gauges such as micrometers and height gauges, utilizing blueprints to identify measurements, and performing first and last piece inspections. Training with the foreman to assist with set-ups will also be part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Inspect all parts alongside the foreman using gauges.
- Use blueprints to identify measurements.
- Conduct first piece and last piece inspections.
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards.
- Assist with set-ups under the guidance of the foreman.
Essential Skills
- 2 years of experience in machine operating with steel/metal.
- Proficiency with quality inspection tools, including gauges and micrometers.
- Ability to understand and read a tape measure.
- Experience using a wrench.

Work Environment
Our brand-new facility is equipped with both modern and older machines, providing a bright and clean workspace. While it can be warm in the summer, open doors allow for a cool breeze. The dress code is lenient, allowing comfortable attire. Employees work independently, with a structured schedule of 4 hours of work, followed by a 30-minute lunch break, and another 4 hours of work. Smoking breaks are not permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
