Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for high school students, serving grades 9 through 12 in a charter school setting. This contract opportunity offers a caseload focused entirely on academic needs, with no behavioral responsibilities. The role is based in Kingston, NH, within the Sanborn Regional school district, providing a consistent 37.5-hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to high school students academic requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with special education guidelines.
- Participate in meetings and professional development as needed to support student growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience teaching high school students, preferably grades 9-12.
- Strong understanding of academic support strategies for students with special needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an educational team environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
