Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Vermont medical center, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • 8-week assignment in a Women's and Children's L&D unit
  • 12-hour day shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday
  • Minimum every other weekend required, with scheduling adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
  • Float required within the Women's and Children's unit
  • On-call requirement of 2 twelve-hour shifts per rolling 4-week period
  • Block schedules are not available for any reason
  • Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Requirements

  • Active RN license; VT or compact license accepted (NY candidates considered with proof of pending NY license)
  • Required certifications: BLS and NRP
  • Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE
  • Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required, including LDRP experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
  • Experience as a baby nurse at delivery, including initiating and participating in neonatal resuscitations, assigning APGAR scores, and administering newborn medications post-delivery
  • At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year)
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
  • Any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained in your work history
  • Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type for all positions listed
  • Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
  • Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November through April
  • This is an immediate-start (ASAP) position
