Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Vermont medical center, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- 8-week assignment in a Women's and Children's L&D unit
- 12-hour day shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday
- Minimum every other weekend required, with scheduling adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Float required within the Women's and Children's unit
- On-call requirement of 2 twelve-hour shifts per rolling 4-week period
- Block schedules are not available for any reason
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
Requirements
- Active RN license; VT or compact license accepted (NY candidates considered with proof of pending NY license)
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required, including LDRP experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
- Experience as a baby nurse at delivery, including initiating and participating in neonatal resuscitations, assigning APGAR scores, and administering newborn medications post-delivery
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
- Any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained in your work history
- Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type for all positions listed
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November through April
- This is an immediate-start (ASAP) position
