Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher, working with preschool-aged students in a supportive school environment near Aurora, CO. This full-time contract position begins July 31, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027. You’ll be part of a dedicated early childhood program, assigned to one campus and working with a caseload of up to 15 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Colorado Department of Education certification in one of the following:
- Early Childhood Special Ed (ages birth–8, grades P3-2 only)
- Early Childhood Special Ed Specialist (ages birth–8, grades P3-2 only)
- Early Childhood Special Ed (ages birth–5, grade P3-K only)
- Early Childhood Special Ed (ages 3–8, grades P3-2 only)
- Strong grasp of standardized and general education assessments (literacy and math) for eligibility determination and program planning.
- Ability to pass mandatory background checks post-offer.
- Prior experience with preschool or early childhood populations preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to preschoolers with varying disabilities.
- Provide services through a continuum of settings, including in-class and pull-out as appropriate.
- Conduct and interpret educational assessments to shape individualized learning goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; utilize Fridays for planning and joint meetings.
- Communicate effectively with families and school staff to ensure student growth.
