Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Job Summary
We are seeking a CAD Designer I to join our engineering team. In this role, you will create accurate and detailed 2D/3D models and technical drawings using CAD software based on engineering sketches, layouts, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify CAD models and technical drawings based on engineering instructions.
- Revise drawings and models as requested by engineers or project managers.
- Ensure all drawings meet company drafting standards and quality requirements.
- Apply standard drafting practices, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field OR completion of a vocational/technical drafting program.
- Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience creating engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches and technical documentation.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment.
