Job Description Accounts Receivable Specialist The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable activities, including billing, cash application, and business-to-business collections. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, application of payments, and resolution of outstanding balances to maintain healthy cash flow and strong client relationships. This position is direct hire and will pay between $22 and $26/hr. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in accordance with company policies and contractual terms.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Apply customer payments to the correct accounts and invoices, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
  • Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and account discrepancies in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and support customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of collection efforts, payment arrangements, and account status updates.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and provide reporting on accounts receivable performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections in a business-to-business environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and cash application processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems or advanced accounting platforms.
  • Knowledge of credit analysis and risk management practices.
