ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee all haul road construction, maintenance, and road repair projects on the Copper World Site.
- Manage dust control activities including dust suppressant application.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of road crew personnel, and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
- Develop new opportunities and a development path for the road crew personnel.
- Communicate work plans to crew leaders, ensuring that they are prepared and knowledgeable of projects prior to implementation.
- Able to independently identify project needs and coordinate ordering of needed supplies, equipment maintenance, and task completions.
- Track project and equipment KPIs and present results weekly
- Provided verbal and written reports to Mine Manager on progress (examples: daily shift reports)
- Knowledge of road construction best practices, polices, and safety constraints.
- Strictly enforce safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and safety meetings.
- Ensure all company procedures and safety policies are followed, MUST lead by example.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- High School diploma / GED / associate’s degree
- 6+ years of road maintenance, equipment operations, including supervisory or lead experience.
- Thorough knowledge of road construction and maintenance methods, materials, tools, and heavy construction equipment.
- Policy Development Experience
- Exposure to Mine Planning
- Ability to work & multi-task in a fast -paced environment.
- Experience supervising, managing, and optimizing the use of heavy equipment (dozers, motor graders, excavators)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and meet all other requirements of the job.
- Can move over uneven terrain
- The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
- Positive work ethic
- Maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to lead, motivate, manage and grow the team.

The work environment will necessitate work near moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions such as hot and/or dry conditions. Work will be conducted in locations where noise, fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration may exist.
Employee will be expected to drive a company vehicle, rental vehicle and/or his/her own vehicle in the course of performing the job, Employee must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle, including use of eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Employee must be able to prove that he/she has a current and valid driver's license.
