Part‑Time Optometrist – Southern New Mexico (1–2 Days/Month)

Location: Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Deming, Truth or Consequences, Silver City, Lordsburg (1–2 hr. radius)

Schedule: 1-2 weekdays per month, Monday through Friday (Weekdays)

Compensation: $900 per visit

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

About The Opportunity

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to provide care in a structured, outpatient clinic-based environment in Southern New Mexico.

This is a clinic-based role where you'll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior populations.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
• Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
• Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
• Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Active New Mexico optometry license
• Experience treating senior populations preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
• Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments

Schedule

• 1-2 weekdays per month
• Typical hours: 8:30AM-4:30PM
• No nights
• No weekends
• No billing or administrative responsibilities
