RCS is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing exceptional educational and clinical services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. We operate multiple programs—including RCS Learning Center, RCS Behavioral and Educational Consulting, and Mini-Miracles Early Education & Childcare Center—and are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Financial Assistant to support our growing financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned bookkeeping professional who enjoys variety, independence, and meaningful work in a collaborative environment.
The Bookkeeper / Financial Assistant plays a key role in maintaining accurate, timely financial records across multiple entities. This position manages core daily accounting functions and contributes to monthly and year-end processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable across several programs and vendors
- Process and audit biweekly payroll in collaboration with HR
- Prepare and issue client invoices, apply payments, and assist with collections
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card statements
- Track and record financial transactions, expense coding, and journal entries
- Support monthly reporting, including cash flow, balance sheet summaries, and financial dashboards
- Assist with annual audits and organizational financial reviews
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-entity, nonprofit, or service-based organization
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), Excel, and general accounting tools
- Experience with payroll processing (ADP a plus)
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required for highly experienced candidates
Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, approximately 20-25 hours per week. Some remote work flexibility based on organizational needs
