Regional Manager (Wisconsin/Michigan/Minnesota)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Regional Manager will provide leadership, oversight, and operational support to an assigned region of store locations. The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring that the stores in the assigned region adhere to established operational standards, sales revenue is maximized, and all policies and procedures of L&M Supply are followed and maintained.
Job Type: Full-Time Exempt
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Location: This is a HQ-based role but the ideal candidate will office out of our Rhinelander, WI store. Region includes the following markets: WI - Rhinelander, Hayward, Ashland; MI - Marquette, Escanaba; MN - Cloquet
Travel: Extensive travel within the region. Occasional travel to L&M Headquarters office or other L&M markets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides direct supervision for store managers in the assigned region
2. Partners with the Director of Store Operations and other Regional Managers to develop and enhance store operational standards
3. Conducts store visits and reviews all aspects of store operations
4. Provides feedback and improvement opportunities for Store Management teams based on store tours, sales performance, and customer feedback
5. Mentors store management teams to ensure sales, team member engagement, and customer service standards are maximized
6. Assists with the implementation of new programs, strategies, and initiatives at the store level
7. Helps to ensure that store operations and processes align with organizational goals and objectives
8. Provides input and feedback on store manager performance measures
9. Helps to resolve escalated customer service issues
10. Ensures that the culture of the organization embraces company initiatives and goals and the Mission, Vision, and Values of L&M Supply
11. Collaborates with corporate support departments in the planning and execution of operational goals
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, or related degree program AND 5 years related professional experience - OR -
- Associate's degree in business administration, business management AND 7 years related professional experience - OR -
- 10 years of related professional experience
2. Knowledge Requirements
A. Extensive knowledge of retail operations
B. In-depth knowledge of the principals of leadership to include labor planning & labor budget management, employee relations, employee development, training, and performance management
C. Knowledge of occupational safety regulations
D. Extensive knowledge of L&M Supply’s customer service standard
E. Knowledge of training techniques and practices
3. Skill Requirements
A. Exceptional planning and organizational skills
B. Demonstrated computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other related computer applications
C. Exceptional customer service skills
D. Proficient typing/keyboarding and data entry skills
E. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
