Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems in our production environment to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation systems and solutions based on project requirements.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices.
- Integrate servo systems, safety relays, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) into existing equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize electrical systems.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation using AutoCAD.
- Conduct testing and validation of automation systems to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Siemens preferred).
- Experience with HMI design and implementation.
- Familiarity with servo systems, safety relays, and VFDs.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and designs.
- Experience with AutoCAD for electrical design is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
