Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Handyman to perform light maintenance tasks related to the improvement and upkeep of our facilities. The role includes cleaning of equipment, resetting office spaces and furniture, performing repairs, and handling office furniture and equipment setup, take down, or movement as needed. Additionally, the Handyman will support maintenance tasks such as lighting adjustments, temperature control, and plumbing repairs, while ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including light bulb and battery replacements, hanging pictures, and general equipment upkeep.
• Execute room setups and take downs for meetings and events, including arranging chairs, tables, A/V equipment, and waste containers.
• Daily processing and logging of incoming and outgoing parcels, supporting both domestic and international shipping needs.
• Monitor and mitigate pest intrusions, and perform spot cleaning of carpeted areas.
• Maintain office kitchens and gym facilities, including running dishwashers and restocking towels.
• Open offices and disarm security alarms as needed, ensuring readiness at the start of the workday.
• Safely handle and dispose of chemicals according to statutory requirements.

Essential Skills

• Painting and general labor skills.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and performing basic facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of warehouse shipping processes and the ability to use computers for label printing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of recent work experience within a warehouse.
• Basic aptitude for assembling furniture and performing maintenance tasks.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a mix of warehouse and storefront settings, accommodating approximately 80 employees on site. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
