As a Registered Nurse on a Neuro Cardiac Med/Surg Telemetry unit, you’ll not only strengthen your clinical expertise but also gain invaluable experience caring for complex patient populations. Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 36 guaranteed hours weekly (48-hour contracts possible upon request)
- 13-week assignment beginning May 4 or May 18 (bi-weekly orientation)
- Required to work three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
Requirements:
- Active compact state RN license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certification (submit upon application)
- Minimum two years’ recent strong Tele/Med-Surg experience, including one travel assignment and Level II trauma exposure
- Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required)
- Proficient with NIHSS, dysphagia screening, neuro assessments, Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, titrating drips, and heart cath recovery
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, adaptability, and collaborative skills; leadership experience preferred
- Willingness to float between nearby campuses (with advance notice); reliable and accountable attendance
