Job DescriptionPRESS OPERATORRole:
- Observe continuous operation of molding machines to ensure products meet specifications.
Quality Role:
- Ensure the highest quality part possible with the least amount of scrap possible.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Monitor part production including visual quality checks, sorting, counting, and packaging.
- Reviews all production instructions carefully before beginning every job.
- Report issues with parts or presses (including jams or malfunctions) to Quality Coordinator or Shift Lead immediately.
- Trim excess material from parts, using knives or clippers.
- Cleans up work cells at the end of the shift.
- Completes production folder and labels as required.
- Participates in weekly housekeeping by completing assigned cleaning task.
- Reviews and follows all documented standards, procedures and work instructions.
- Uses hand tools, torches, hand loads, cooling fixtures or other tools to complete more complex production jobs (based on skill level).
Follows all company policies and attendance guidelines.
- Follows all company safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Ability to read, speak and write English.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Clear vision with or without corrective lenses.
- Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills (repetitive hand mobility).
- Basic Mathematical Skills
- No specific training required.
