Job Description

Job DescriptionA local manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee and enhance service operations across a national field services organization. This role blends technical expertise, operational oversight, and relationship management to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with industry standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage supplier and contractor qualifications, contracts, and performance audits.

  • Lead investigations into reported quality issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with service standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, including cost of poor quality and rework.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to refine quality control processes and reduce defects.

  • Provide training and mentorship to field technicians on best practices.

  • Deliver monthly KPI reports to senior leadership.

What You Bring

  • Strong background in quality assurance, field service operations, and process improvement.

  • Familiarity with audit procedures, supplier scorecards, and compliance frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lead change and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Also open to consider an Associate’s degree with 4+ years of Quality experience.

  • 2+ years in a quality systems or QA role within industrial or service environments.

  • Preferred: Six Sigma or ASQ certification.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $94,000.00 per year
