About the Company

A facility in Oswego, NY is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced nuclear medicine technology, including DEXA and PET scans. This role requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.


Pay: $3,300.00 - $3,612.00 per week


About the Role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure patient safety while delivering high-quality care.


Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including DEXA scans and PET scans, to assist in diagnostic evaluations.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures, and imaging results.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to review imaging findings and support patient care plans.
  • Educate patients about procedures, addressing questions and explaining preparation requirements.
  • Apply aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety and prevent contamination.
  • Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and participate in professional development.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Current NYS License/Registration.
  • ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with advanced nuclear medicine technology.
  • Professional development in nuclear medicine.
