Overview:
Property Management of Andover is seeking Lead Carpenters for exterior building repairs at condominium communities within the Merrimack Valley area - siding, decking, roof repairs, completing various carpentry/maintenance work orders, etc. This is a full-time position. Experience needed. You will be working directly under our maintenance supervisor, and at times along with other carpenters for larger projects (cedar siding replacement, deck repairs, water entry repairs, etc.). Key Responsibilities:
- Perform exterior building carpentry repairs and installations for both residential and commercial properties.
- Execute general maintenance and upkeep of property, addressing carpentry-related tasks.
- Work with the Property Management team to identify, assess, and address carpentry and maintenance issues.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety codes and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including materials used, labor hours, and any repairs needed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff, vendors, and property managers to ensure efficient operations.
- Respond promptly to work orders and emergency repairs.
- Communicate effectively with owners, property managers, and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in carpentry or a related field. Pay determined by experience / licensing (supervisor, commercial)
- Skills: Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and building codes and experience with a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various environments, and perform manual labor as required.
- Tools: Candidates should have their own standard carpentry tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in carpentry preferred.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other carpenters at times.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and pickup truck or van. No cars.
