Human Resources Recruiter & Onboarding Specialist
📍 Location: Southfield, Michigan

💰 Salary: $40,000 per year

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Recruiter & Onboarding Specialist to join our growing team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings strong organizational skills to both recruitment and onboarding functions. A degree in Human Resources is required, and prior experience in recruiting, onboarding, or sales is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Duties:

  • Review applications and resumes to identify top candidates
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate communications with candidates
  • Conduct interviews and evaluate applicants for job fit and qualifications
  • Extend job offers and coordinate hiring logistics
  • Execute targeted email marketing campaigns to attract new talent
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) for correspondence and documentation

Onboarding Duties:

  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires
  • Prepare and collect new hire paperwork and documentation
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation sessions
  • Assist with contracting and licensing processes for life insurance agents
  • Maintain and update license logs, system credentials, and onboarding checklists
  • Ensure all onboarding activities are compliant and accurately recorded

General HR Support:

  • Maintain accurate and organized HR records
  • Support various administrative tasks as needed within the HR department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (required)
  • Recruiting and/or onboarding experience strongly preferred
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
