Job Title: Metal Finisher / Timesaver Operator

Job Description
This role focuses on finishing complex metal parts to precise specifications using a variety of grinding, sanding, and metal finishing tools. The Metal Finisher ensures each component meets print requirements and quality standards by performing detailed finishing, inspection, and deburring tasks in a dynamic job shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Finish complex metal parts using hand grinders, surface grinders, and dual action sanders to meet detailed print requirements.
- Operate hydraulic presses, mechanical vises, and grinders to achieve required dimensions and surface finishes.
- Inspect parts using indicators, leveling jacks, and surface plates to verify accuracy and quality.
- Perform deburring, masking, polishing, buffing, and other metal finishing tasks to remove imperfections and prepare parts for final use or assembly.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete finishing and general fabrication tasks as needed.
- Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure all parts meet specified tolerances and customer requirements.
- Support general production and assembly work within the fabrication machine shop as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow established safety and quality procedures.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, 90,000-square-foot job shop that operates as a contract manufacturer specializing in close-tolerance, custom metal fabricated component parts and assemblies. The company is ISO:9001 certified and supports projects from prototype to production, working within inclusive teams to solve complex challenges. The job shop environment features a continuous variety of products flowing through its processes, serving industries such as medical, military, aerospace, and large OEMs. Employees work with a range of fabrication and finishing equipment, including grinders, sanders, hydraulic presses, and inspection tools, in a well-maintained facility designed for precision manufacturing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
