Charge Nurse - HealthCare Industry
Location: Alta Heights Post Acute AHP01, 813 South Dickerson Rd, Goodlettsville, TN 37072
Position Summary: Direct daily nursing functions, ensuring quality care for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing nursing services.
- Develop and update policies and procedures.
- Resolve resident/patient care issues.
- Maintain nursing manuals and quality assurance programs.
- Perform administrative duties and nursing assessments.
- Develop and implement care plans.
- Provide health education and training.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Make daily rounds to ensure nursing staff are performing duties according to standards.
- Review and ensure accuracy of nurses' notes.
- Authorize the use of restraints when necessary.
- Assist in developing annual in-service training programs.
- Participate in the development of resident assessments and care plans.
- Encourage resident and family participation in care plan development.
- Ensure nursing staff are aware of and follow care plans.
- Maintain good rapport with all services involved in resident care.
- Participate in quality assurance activities.
- Adhere to scope of practice limitations.
- Complete required forms and documents.
- Perform general nursing duties in emergencies or staffing shortages.
- Participate in budget preparation and planning for the nursing department.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an Accredited Nursing School; BSN preferred.
- Good standing with State Board of Nursing.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; PCC knowledge preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML).
