TEACHING POSITION
S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center’s Faith Christian Academy is an accredited non-public (private) Christian charter school in Summit County, Ohio. We specialize in servicing students with autism, developmental disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, and language-based learning differences. We use PCS (Physical Cognitive Skills) training, which utilizes full-bodied, kinesthetic, gross motor skills, and RBT (Right Brain Training), which utilizes fine motor skills. Overview:
The teacher will be responsible for presenting and explaining learning materials and educating students on new subjects. The teacher will be provided with curriculum meeting state standards. They must create daily lesson plans and prepare all lesson materials. In class, teachers may lecture on a specific subject and/or assign work, projects, and tests to help build knowledge and assess the students’ overall performance in the class. The teacher will also be responsible for maintaining and managing their classrooms. In order to educate their class and ensure success, teachers should maintain a positive attitude, be energetic about the subjects they teach, and share a passion for learning themselves. Teachers are supported by their TBT leader, intervention specialists, the wrap-around team, Student Services Department, and the administration. Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art CleverTouch interactive smartboards, sensory equipment, and student devices. Intervention specialists and teachers have access to a CVR system (Classroom Virtual Reality System) and a LU Interactive Projection System, the future of education, which transform our gym into an active and immersive educational environment where students are engaged physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
Work Hours and Benefits:
· School year work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (lunch break included).
· Mid-August through early June.
· Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring breaks are paid, as are weather-related snow days.
· Standard 12-month contract; during the summers, intervention specialists and teachers work from home as well as complete professional development and trainings.

· Salary is based on experience, education, certifications, degrees, and licensure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Cultivate a hunger for knowledge among students and engage them in learning.
· Encourage curiosity and continued improvement.
· Help set goals for students and work with the class to help them attain these goals.
· Keep an organized and orderly classroom that promotes creativity and learning.
· Plan curriculum and daily lesson plans, including supplemental and enrichment materials.
· Create and/or print out instructional material for classroom use.
· Work with the student's IEP: Implement interventions, accommodations, and modifications necessary to reach goals.
· Track data for student goals and submit quarterly reports to the Special Services office.
· Lead daily lesson plans, teaching the intended subject matter and answering any questions the students may have.
· Assign work by means of in-class worksheets, projects, homework, presentations, reports, etc.
· Assess student performance by grading assignments and tests, as well as using benchmark and progress monitoring systems.
· Use Progress Book and Google classroom.
· Help students who need extra assistance one-on-one.
· Enforce administration and school policies.
· Set classroom rules and expectations.
· Be active in the school community and its events.
· Participate in professional development and stay up-to-date with current teaching methods, practices, and any new knowledge in your field.
Requirements and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (minimum).
· State of Ohio Teaching License, or qualifications necessary in attaining.
· Relevant experience (student teaching).
· Helpful but not required: Experience with Progress Book and or Google classroom.
· Pass a state-enforced background check (BCI) and a federal background check (FBI).
· Upstanding Christian ethics and integrity.
· A passion for learning and sharing your knowledge with others.
